Proposed Implementation of US 75 Express Lanes from I-635 to S of McDermott Drive - Public Meeting

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will hold a public meeting regarding the proposed implementation of the US 75 Express from I-635 to south of McDermott Drive in the cities of Dallas, Richardson, Plano and Allen as well as Dallas and Collin County, Texas. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at the Grand Hall at the Richardson Civic Center, 411 W. Arapaho Road, Richardson, Texas 75080. The meeting will be held in an open house format from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The purpose of the public meeting is to present the proposed project to the public and receive comments. The proposed project would implement tolling of single occupant vehicles (SOVs) on the existing US 75 HOV lanes, from I-635 to south of McDermott Drive. Proposed construction would include the addition of toll gantries for the express lanes, signage, and pavement widening for an enforcement area in each direction and the modification of the existing access. The purpose of the proposed project is to reduce congestion and improve mobility. The proposed improvements would not require additional right-of-way or easements. No residential or commercial structures would be displaced as a result of the proposed project.
Maps showing the proposed project’s location and geometric design will be available for viewing at the public meeting. This information will also be available for public inspection Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the TxDOT Dallas District Office located at 4777 East Highway 80, Mesquite, Texas 75150.
