CSJs: 0135-10-050; 0135-10-057
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will conduct a Public Meeting for the purpose of soliciting public comment on the proposed reconstruction and widening of United States Highway (US) 380 from Loop (LP) 288 to West of County Road (CR) 26 (Denton/Collin County Line) in Denton County, Texas.
The proposed project would include reconstruction and widening of existing US 380 from a four lane undivided rural to a six-lane divided urban roadway consisting of two 12-foot wide inside travel lanes and one 14-foot wide outside shared-use lane (for bicycle accommodation) with raised median and curb and gutter in each direction. The proposed roadway also would include intersection improvements at designated locations. Left-turn and right-turn lanes would be added at designated locations. In addition, interchanges are also being proposed. A minimum of five-foot sidewalk would also be located along the outer lanes of the roadway. The proposed sidewalks would meet ADA design criteria. The length of the proposed project is approximately 14.72 miles. The proposed project would require approximately 17.5 acres of additional right-of-way. No residential or commercial property displacements or relocations would be required.
