Description:
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is proposing to widen FM 6 from SH 78 to the Hunt County Line in Collin County, Texas. The proposed project involves the reconstruction of the existing two-lane rural roadway to a four (ultimate six) lane divided highway with curb and gutter and a raised median. A continuous 10-foot shared use path would be constructed on the east and west sides of the proposed roadway alignment. The existing FM 6 right-of-way (ROW) width ranges from 60-feet to 100-feet. The proposed ROW is 140 feet. The project passes through the cities of Nevada and Josephine.
