Notice of Public Meeting for Denton County Outer Loop Study in Denton County

Where and When:
A virtual public meeting will be held at www.DentonCountyOuterLoop.com. The virtual meeting is not a live event and can be viewed at any time beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, November 13, 2023 and will remain available online through December 15, 2023.
Two in-person public meetings will be held in an open house format where the public may come and go at their convenience. The first in-person meeting will be held on Monday, November 13 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Aubrey Area Library and Community Center, 226 Countryside Dr, Aubrey, TX 76227.
The second in-person public meeting will be held on Thursday, November 16 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Denton County Convention Center (Embassy Suites), 3100 Town Center Trail, Denton, TX 76201.
Materials presented at the virtual public meeting and in-person public meetings will be identical.
All comments must be postmarked or received by Friday, December 15, 2023.
Description:
To accommodate increasing growth in the region, Denton County and TxDOT have partnered to study a potential new location east-west freeway portion of the Regional Outer Loop in Denton County, extending approximately 23 miles from I-35 to the Dallas North Tollway in Denton County, TX.
Special Accommodations:
The virtual public meetings and in-person options will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for Denton County to arrange.
Memorandum of Understanding:
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 9, 2019, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
