Notice of Public Hearing for FM 1378 from FM 3286 to West Lucas Road in Collin County

Where and When:

A virtual public hearing will be held at www.keepitmovingdallas.com/projects/fm-roads/FM1378. The virtual hearing is not a live event and can be viewed at any time beginning at 5 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2024 and will remain available online through 11:59 p.m. on September 13, 2024.

An in-person public hearing will be held in an open house format from 5 to 7 p.m. with a live presentation at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Lucas Christian Academy, 505 W. Lucas Road, Lucas, TX  75002.

Materials presented at the virtual public hearing and in-person public hearing will be identical.

All comments must be postmarked or received by September 13, 2024.

Description:

Proposed improvements include widening the existing two-lane undivided roadway to a four-lane divided roadway with a curbed median for a distance of approximately 0.9 miles. 

Special Accommodations:

The virtual public hearing and in-person option will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. If you need interpretation or translation services or are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to attend and participate in the virtual public meeting or in-person option, please contact the TxDOT Dallas District Public Information Officer at (214) 320-4480 no later than 4 p.m., Monday, August 26, 2024. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.

Memorandum of Understanding:

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 9, 2019, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
