Notice of Public Meeting for FM 460 from FM 740 to US 80 and FM 740 from Ranch Road to north of Maverick Drive in Kaufman County

Where and When:

A virtual public meeting will be held at www.keepitmovingdallas.com/projects/fm-roads/fm460-fm740. The virtual meeting is not a live event and can be viewed at any time beginning at 5 p.m. on Monday, July 29, 2024 and will remain available online through 11:59 p.m. on August 13, 2024.

An in-person public meeting will be held in an open house format where the public may come and go at their convenience.  The in-person meeting will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Keith Bell Opportunity Central, 680 Innovation Blvd, Forney, TX  75126.  

Materials presented at the virtual public meeting and in-person public meeting will be identical.

All comments must be postmarked or received by August 13, 2024.

Description:

The proposed project would reconstruct and widen FM 460 and FM 740 from a two-lane roadway to a four (ultimate six lane) divided roadway.  A sidewalk and shared use path will be added for bicycle and pedestrian accommodation.   

Special Accommodations:

The virtual public meeting and in-person option will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. If you need interpretation or translation services or are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to attend and participate in the virtual public meeting or in-person option, please contact the TxDOT Dallas District Public Information Officer at (214) 320-4480 no later than 4 p.m., July 23, 2024. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.

Memorandum of Understanding:

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 9, 2019, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
