SH 190 - The East Branch
This website is the Texas Department of Transportation's on-line source for The East Branch - SH 190 Transportation Study in Dallas County, Texas. The study will involve two steps: (1) a Major Transportation Study (MTS) and (2) environmental documentation and preliminary engineering. These steps are typically followed by final design and project construction. Your participation is needed! Decisions made during the study process will affect area transportation for decades to come. The East Branch project has numerous opportunities for you to get involved. Visit this web site regularly to get project updates, send comments, check the Public Meeting schedule, and view our study graphics. The Draft EIS (DEIS) for SH 190 East Branch is being prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The document must undergo review by the TxDOT Environmental Affairs Division. Once the DEIS is approved by TxDOT, a Public Hearing will be conducted. This Hearing could possibly occur in 2016. Once the Public Hearing is scheduled, the date and time will be posted on the website and relayed to all who have registered to be on the project mailing list as well as property owners located within or immediately adjacent to the potential right-of-way. Following the Public Hearing, a Final EIS (FEIS) will be prepared to recommend an alternative. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and the Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
