PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The proposed project consists of the reconstruction, realigning and widening of FM 1387 from North Midlothian Parkway to FM 664 for approximately 5.8 miles.  Improvements would include the expansion of the existing two-lane rural roadway to a four-lane urban roadway (ultimate six-lanes) with a raised median.  Improvements would consist of 12-foot-wide travel lanes, a 10-foot-wide shared-use path on the north side and a five-foot sidewalk on the south side of the roadway.
